SIGNATURE CAPTURE OPTION

MTS incorporates portable delivery scanners, such as the Symbol SPT1800 Palm Pilot, for recording items and capturing delivery signatures. A mail center using these scanners in conjunction with a desktop application can quickly manage thousands of incoming packages. Several clients use the SPT1800 to record deliveries at the dock, select the recipient and perform the delivery with signature. This provides a paperless system with the ability to store and print signatures when needed for proof of delivery. Once all deliveries are made, the information is downloaded to the desktop and the information made available to other users.
