 Web-based Receiving System

Why Consider a Web-based System? Tracking systems that are completely web-based offer some advantages for enterprise-wide mail and receiving operations.  Specifically, web-based systems can be accessed across the entire network regardless of which servers support what facilities. In addition, anyone with the appropriate authorization can view the movement of packages and accepted deliveries, perform management and compliance reports.  Another unique advantage is the familiarity employees have when using the internet which makes processing packages and performing searches more user-friendly.

One technical benefit that should also be considered is the ability to make frequent updates to entire network of tracking workstations for such information as employee location, carrier and user login.  Finally, for those managers that have lost critical information from system failures, backups are generally performed on a real-time bases as most web-based systems have redundant backup drives.

Why WEB WITS? This state-of-the-art tracking system offers a complete web-based solution for controlling incoming accountable mail, important corporate assets and messenger deliveries.  WEB WITS uses the latest Microsoft .NET technology to provide your mail department with user-friendly screens to record incoming packages, generate electronic or printed manifests, and search and print delivery history.  When combined with industry-standard Symbol Palm Pilots, your mail center employees can record and track the entire delivery electronically and still maintain those all important "proof of delivery" signatures.

Is WEB WITS a global solution for recording and tracking deliveries anywhere you have internet access?  Yes.  Web Wits can be installed on your local corporate intranet or hosted by us.  An employee with the appropriate network rights can view the complete delivery status of packages from any internet connection.  In addition, a mail center manager can report or query delivery history from his desk for items processed in any mail center connected to the network (or web).  Package information includes an item's history of every point at which it was handled and recorded for an unlimited number of delivery attempts.  For completed deliveries, the actual delivery signature can be viewed and printed.

Reporting and tracking can be performed from the desk of any employee or mail center user.
