Hamilton Sorter Rapid Response Program Helps Major
Advertising
Agency Re-Establish Mail Operations
Responding to the anthrax
threat in the fall of 2007, a large New York advertising agency decided to
move its primary sort function for incoming mail to an isolated basement
storage room located within its office complex. With the help of
Datamation Systems, a leading provider of mail machine and furniture
systems, the firm created a new presorting function, using mobile dump
tables and bulk sort racks capable of holding 16 individual mail buckets.
After
the mail is screened and presorted, the buckets are transported to the
main mail center for fine sorting and distribution. By isolating the
initial sorting process, the firm limits any potential bio-hazard exposure
to the confined area. Hamilton Sorter was able to provide the specific
sorting furniture needed within 48 hours through its "Rapid Response"
program. In addition to the items available under the Rapid Response
program, Hamilton Sorter and Datamation Systems offer 5-day Quick Ship,
CAD services and a comprehensive selection of mail handling products.
