HOW OFTEN DOES YOUR CARRIER TELL YOU A PACKAGE WAS DELIVERED BUT IT'S NOWHERE TO BE FOUND?
This is the most common complaint we hear from our clients. Even if packages are properly delivered (which is usually the case), documenting what arrives at your dock can be difficult and time-consuming, especially in a busy receiving operation. xTMS Dock was designed to meet this challenge. At your receiving point, xTMS Dock lets your clerk quickly record incoming packages and get carrier’s signature acknowledging what was received. xTMS Dock works with a Symbol Palm Pilot (for capturing signatures) or as a simple, affordable desktop application.
WHAT KIND OF ITEMS CAN BE SCANNED? xTMS Dock can be used to record any item received at your dock or receiving point. Items from all major carriers have barcodes that can be scanned. For other items, information can be entered manually. xTMS Dock also checks for duplicate packages (eliminating double scans and double counts), records the carrier ID and automatically enters the date/time the item is received. Once all the items are recorded, they can be downloaded to the computer and the information is available for future inquiries. When you search a delivery, in seconds the answer includes the list of all packages received and the driver’s signature.

Several of our clients have receiving systems for recording accountable items but find their existing systems are not practical when trying to quickly record items at the dock. xTMS Dock is specifically designed to record incoming items at the receiving point and produce accurate reports. A typical user can scan 200 packages, record the carrier signature and produce a report in approximately five minutes. In addition, xTMS Dock may be able to be installed using your existing Symbol SPT1800 or compatible Palm Pilots used by many receiving systems.
