Trax is a simple and very effective form of mobile high-density filing. In this system,
only the front cabinets are movable. Trax lets you roll these cabinets from side to side, allowing access to the cabinets behind them.

It is a great advantage that the rear row is completely independent from the front row. Trax is placed in front of cabinets previously installed, so your office experiences minimal disruption at installation.

System safety will always be the number one design criterion for both Jeter and Datamation. For utmost rolling stability, the Trax system incorporates four wheels and two tracks for each mobile cabinet, other manufacturers use just two wheels and one track. Trax also features welded aluminum carriages to provide the necessary support for the moving cabinets. In addition, the mobile systems use hardened steel wheels with sealed ball bearings for maximum ease of operation.

Two anti-tip devices are always standard equipment on Trax. First, an anti-tip connects the top of the front cabinets to the top of the rear stationary cabinets, The other is an integral part of the carriage to prohibit its derailment from the track. The track is low-profile, which permits step-in (not step-up) access.

Finally, the Trax system is perfectly level to prevent the cabinets from drifting during use. Its weight bearing tracks are supported their entire length and simply will not permit flex under weight. Bring all the advantages to your office files — for safe, reliable performance, Trax is the best lateral mobile system you will find.

In addition to Jeter, we also represent several other major manufacturers should you need to match an existing system. For a free analysis of your existing operation or to simply discuss a future application, please feel free to call us or fill out our “request for information” form.
